Maplewood Career Center will celebrate its 50th anniversary with an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 8. The event will be on the vocational school’s campus at 7075 State Route 88 in Ravenna Township.
The career and technical school, which opened in 1975, has served more than 15,000 students in Portage and Summit counties over the years, providing hands-on training, real-world experience and industry certifications that have led to careers and continued education.
