The University of Northern Iowa has introduced a new “Degree in 3” program, allowing students to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in just three years. This initiative aims to address the teacher shortage by fast-tracking future educators into the workforce. The program, starting in fall 2026, offers a streamlined curriculum aligned with state educational goals and includes financial support for students.
